Tavistock Steam Fair, at The Wharf

The Tavistock Steam Fair will be held at the Wharf/Bedford Car Park off Plymouth Road on Sunday 6th June from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm.

The organisers would be grateful if you would bring along your steam vehicle, and to display it in action.

This is the main event which raises money to keep the Trust in being.   Coal will be provided.

A feature of the Tavistock Steam Fair is that steam vehicles and crews are invited to spend some time pulling  trailers around the town along set routes (all flat tarmac surfaces) carrying members of the public.  Are you able to bring a suitable trailer? (which must comply with safety standards. Ring me to discuss).

*I/we understand that *I/we must be in possession of insurance (the NTET Disc) showing the date of expiry of Boiler Insurance, Boiler Inspection and Public Liability.  The disc must be in place on the engine.  *I/we shall not leave an engine running and unattended.  Strict compliance must be made to instructions given by any of the event Marshals.

NB.  All vehicles must display a current tax disc if using public roads (zero rated or otherwise).

In line with NTET, RLS and RRA recommendations, conversions are not required for this event.
